Já tinha lido por aí que esta cena deixou muito a desejar, mas eu achei-a o máximo. A química entre as personagens (entre as actrizes portanto) e a intensidade da cena são acima da média - como se escreve num dos comentários do vídeo, man they could just stand by each other and not say a word and still sexually tense between the two. A cena em que apenas se mostram as pernas a aproximarem-se é melhor do que a maioria das cenas explícitas - ao menos é original e transmite tudo. Então a preocupação de Will ao telefone é a cereja no topo do bolo. Isto sim, é subtext de qualidade.

Eu não sou propriamente fã da personagem, mas pode-se dizer que fiquei a torcer por estas duas. Muito por culpa da FBI Agent Lana Delaney.

Recentemente descobri uma pequena pérola da reality tv que, excepção feita, é irremediavelmente inócua e, algumas vezes, poucas, irresistível. Ora bem, esse oásis no trash tv é o programa da MTV If You Really Knew Me, em que um grupo de alunos representativos dos chamados grupos sociais - góticos, gays, betos, populares, atletas, emos, pretos, brancos, amarelos, latinos e sei lá mais o quê, é, literalmente, intervencionado, sendo "obrigados" a conviver e a conhecer-se uns aos outros.

O resultado é muito simples, mas mesmo assim, sensacional: os estereótipos caem todos por terra e as mentalidades e consequentes acções tomam direcções diametralmente opostas ao que os miúdos estão tão formatados para fazer, ou seja, deixam de preconceber e pré-julgar para passarem a fazer coisas tão fundamentalmente simples como cumprimentar, falar com e passar a conhecer determinada pessoa cuja atenção "não mereceria" antes do chamado "challenge day". Atitudes básicas tantas vezes afundadas no baú da sociedade actual, baseada em máscaras e etiquetas.

Há lá muita lamechice, é certo, mas é daquela lamechice que faz sentido, que deve ser sentida e partilhada. No outro dia cheguei mesmo ao ponto de me emocionar (coisa difícil, mesmo) com uma miúda "intervencionada" e que, como resultado do challenge day, ao chegar a casa lê uma carta aos pais a pedir desculpa por todas as discussões e mau ambiente que fomentou na família.

Inspirador. Parabéns MTV, por algo tão não-inócuo - um conceito novo, for sure.

We were in Denver and it was raining and i decided to go see this alone. im glad. i think it would have been weird to see this movie with anyone. liam neeson, amanda seyfriend (woah) and julianne moore are all PERFECT in this movie. i have always really enjoyed atom egoyan films and this didn’t disappoint in anyway. i thought it was equal parts haunting and beautiful. it stayed with me for weeks. i literally went home and googled amanda seyfriend a thousand times.

Saw this the other day. they show movies months later than they are released in america in new zealand. it was beautiful. i like beautiful. i like George Clooney. a few times i felt distracted by him. i loved his love interest. she was distracting too. i wished he talked more. otherwise. i liked it.

Esta foto, para quem não está por dentro do assunto, é incrível. McNeil regressa aos grandes eventos, depois de um hiato, supostamente, motivado pela separação da Freja. Ora bem, se repararem bem na moça que a fulmina (no bom sentido) com o olhar lá atrás é nada mais nada menos que Freja. Heart-breaking. Quase. I find those eyes sad.

Pouco depois de ler isto dou de caras com isto. E fiquei a matutar por um momemento no assunto: aquele texto, para mim, não é um crazy love, mas sim un unlove. É como ela própria escreve: One day she showed up with a new boyfriend. The only thing worse than losing her was the realization that I’d never had her. Revejo-me nisso - o pior de tudo foi mesmo aperceber-me de que nunca foi minha, apenas uma sugestão do que poderá ser ter alguém.

Tendo espreitado outra história, a de Naomily em Skins Season 4, apetece voltar à pele do que fui, minus all the sex, drugs & rock & roll que "rola" na série, uma vez que não se compara sequer as vivências dos miúdos ali retratados com a que foi a minha pacata adolescência - pacata mas esclarecedora e experimentadora, que nesse campo foi muito rica, minus the drugs, ok. Não posso deixar de referir a minha preferência pela personagem Emily (Lilly Loveless, que interpreta a outra metade Naomi tem um verdadeiro arsenal de fãs por essa net "temática" fora). Katrin Prescott, a Emily, tem uma presença forte/doce, nem que seja pelo cabelo ruivo hiper fashion, pelo facto de andar de motoreta, e, acima de tudo, por aquele tom de voz, ai aquele tom de voz. Irresistível. Wouldn't you say so, MJ Nuts?
